Becoming, 56cm x 56cm
Free worldwide shipping
Mixed media (water color and acrylic) on stretched canvas paper,* 56cm tall by 56cm wide.
The third artwork in my Hero’s Journey collection projects the pain of growth onto the canvas. Here, my soul is seen climbing up past versions of herself off the canvas into a future unknown, taller and able to reach further because of her dead selves.
Whether by inner motivation or external circumstance, change comes to us all. The themes of death, pains of transformation, and longing for the past are contrasted by the roses, which are helpful reminders that the natural state of evolution and the infinite spiral of divine becoming is beautiful to behold.
As Shakespeare writes in A Winter’s Tale, “Thou mettest with things dying, I with things newborn.” Death and birth go hand in hand, it is which you choose to see that determines your experience of the cycle.
*Artwork is unframed and comes carefully rolled for safety, qualifying it for FREE worldwide shipping.
